School Description

Our goal is that each child becomes an individual with the confidence and ambition to strive for higher aims.

We promote hard work, enthusiasm, determination and a willingness to throw yourself into everything on offer and give it your best shot. We teach your child how to learn so that their intellectual growth and development can continue independently outside the classroom. Inspiring teachers and regular field trips bring your child’s subjects to life and ensure a first-class academic, social and cultural experience. Beyond the classroom, there is plenty for your child to get involved in; from sports to the arts to the more cerebral, this is a school where everyone represents the school at something: drama, football, gymnastics, singing, skiing, debating, netball, hockey, engineering events, scuba diving, chef competitions, cross country, mock trials, language competitions, musical productions.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Stamford High School, were we believe that anything is possible; Our pupils are enthusiastic about learning in all its facets. Whether in our well-furnished language labs, our beautiful, spacious art rooms, or in our science rooms, the girls learn in an environment designed to further their intellectual, creative, practical and social development. Our School is a caring, friendly and happy place, where pupils thrive because they are supported academically, socially and emotionally. We want our pupils to be enthusiastic, hard-working, determined and ready to get involved with everything we offer. We encourage them to think independently, to take ownership of their learning and to aspire to be the very best they can be. Within a sound framework of pastoral care and development, our girls know that they have the skills and attributes to face the future with confidence. Vicky Buckman Head of Stamford High School
