If Overseas student Claire can’t go back this summer, what can she do in the UK?

Apparently, some oversea student cannot fly back to their home country due to covid and quarantine restrictions. So, how can we utilise the summer vacation in the UK?

Forget the burden!
It is time to chill out in the summertime. Enjoy the sunshine and summer vibe in the UK! There are many lovely places around the UK worth visiting especially in the summer. Here are some of my recommendations.

Natural world lover
Cornwall is one of the best places for wild camping. And if you are a natural world lover, you should not miss the Eden Project in Cornwall! The Eden Project is famous for plants. It has the largest indoor rainforest in the world. The Eden Project aims to create a movement that builds relationships between people and the natural world. It is open to the public from late May to September every year. The ticket fee for students from £27.50. Don’t forget to book the ticket in advance. 
 

Art lover
Edinburgh Festival Fringe hold every August ( 5 - 29 August in 2022). Thousand of performers are having hundreds of shows. You definitely can find your desired show as there is a large variety of shows, such as comedy, circus, opera, and musical. What are you waiting for?

Air balloon lover
Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is on from 11 to 14 August 2022. Apart from riding the pre-booked air balloon, visitors also camp in the sky with lots of air balloons.

All towns and cities in the UK would organise many events through the summer, you can start by looking at VisitBritain for some ideas. Then explore more on local cities' websites as well as different events' on Facebook and IG.
