What is an educational guardian for overseas students?

Post Date: 2021-09-25

Are you a parent sending your child to an independent school in the UK for education. Have you just come across the Guardianship Service needing and to explore more about it? Well, you are in the right place!

The UK is renowned for attracting overseas students around the world. Be it the first experience of British-educational life or not, the quality of the British educational system is appealing to international families who intend to provide a brighter future for their children.

Your child requires to apply for a Child Student Visa (if your child is between 4 and 17 years old ) with an unconditional offer from a Home Office Licensed Child Student Sponsor independent school. Since most of the independent schools only give out an offer if the pupil who has a UK based educational guardian or the parents are living together in the UK to take care of the child (Parent of a Child Student visa is needed), you must have a reliable educational guardian as they will act on behalf of you for your child on all the schools' matters.

The guardian's duty is to cover everything your child needs at the school, giving your child a worry-free study environment. From settling your child at school, take responsibility for the pupil's wellbeing during the term, emergency support and take care of the pupil arranging transportation transfer and accommodation during half-term and holidays when the school is close. Some guardians could also arrange airport transfer between school at the beginning and the end of a school term.

Come and visit our guardianship partners "Cambridge Guardian" & "The Guardian Family Network Ltd (GNet)" for more information in detail. They offer bespoke UK guardianship services and invaluable support to international students.
